Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co. is a world leader in the manufacture of fire sprinklers and related system valves, as well as a major distributor of fire sprinkler system components and fabricated piping solutions since 1920.

Position: Material Handler - Shipping

Shift: 1st Shift: 8:30am - 5pm

Liberty, SC

Job Summary

The Material Handler - Shipping is responsible for picking and processing customer orders and distribution center shipments accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders and fill distribution centers as directed by the Shipping Supervisor
• Operate handheld scanners to scan barcodes and deliver materials to target locations
• Operate forklifts, lift trucks, side loaders, pallet trucks, and other loading/stacking equipment
• Conduct daily inspections of forklifts
• Perform on-spot checking and maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness
• Promote a safe work environment by following all safety rules and procedures, and reporting hazards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in material handling, warehouse, or related fields
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and shipping methods (FedEx, UPS, freight)
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and related equipment
• Strong organizational, attention to detail, and communication skills
• Ability to work at heights and in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment
• Physical ability to stand for most of the day and lift up to 75 pounds occasionally

Work Environment
