OBE is seeking a full-time Material Handler 1- Glass for the Battle Ground, WA facility. The role focuses on moving materials using vacuum lift assist equipment, lifting and moving mobile carts, and supporting the production process under supervision.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented, committed, and a team player, with prior manufacturing experience. The position offers a 2nd shift schedule, with a $2 night differential and opportunities for career advancement in a growing company.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Stable work history in manufacturing/fabrication preferred.
• Must be flexible to work in different functions throughout the plant.
• Available to work a 5-day workweek with occasional Saturdays.
• Hours: 2nd shift 3:30pm–11:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Move materials using vacuum lift assist equipment.
• Lift and move mobile carts to support production workflow.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and keep areas clean.
• Follow safety policies, report hazards, and comply with work rules.
• Collaborate with coworkers to maintain a safe, efficient environment.

What You’ll Get to Do

The full-time Material Handler 1- Glass (2nd shift + $2.00 night differential) for our Battle Ground, WA facility is focused on moving materials using vacuum lift assist equipment, manually lifting and moving mobile carts from one position/location to another to facilitate the production process and reports the Production Supervisor.

Job responsibilities include:

• The ability to perform tasks safely, adhere to all safety policies and procedures and correct or report hazards in the workplace
• Understand and apply inspection procedures and tolerances to pass or reject materials and/or products
• Perform preventative maintenance activities on equipment, such as cleaning and inspecting. Keep work areas clean and organized
• Understand and comply with all written policies, work rules, and instructions. Execute verbal directions as instructed.
• Respect co-workers to maintain a civil and safe work environment

What We’re Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Basic computer input and interface skills
• Ability to read and use a tape measure
• Stable work history with previous manufacturing/fabrication experience and/or mechanical aptitude preferred
• Must be flexible to work in different functions throughout the plant
• Available to work a 5-day workweek with occasional work on Saturdays
• Hours: 2nd shift 3:30pm-11:30pm

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, bend, twist, carry, walk, and reach frequently
• Ability to stand and walk on a concrete floor wearing steel-toed shoes with metatarsal guards and other safety equipment for eight to twelve hours per day
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment without temperature or humidity control
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs

Position Pay Range

$20.50 — $21.50 USD
