Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is hiring a full-time Material Handler 1 for the 2nd shift (3:30pm–11:30pm) in Battle Ground, WA. The role focuses on moving materials with vacuum lift assist equipment and manually transporting carts to support production.

You will report to the Production Supervisor and work in a safety-conscious team environment. The position requires 18+ years old, basic computer skills, and the ability to read a tape measure.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic computer input and interface skills.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure.
• Stable work history with previous manufacturing/fabrication experience and/or mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Must be flexible to work in different functions throughout the plant.
• Available to work a 5-day workweek with occasional work on Saturdays.
• Hours: 2nd shift 3:30pm-11:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Move materials using vacuum lift assist equipment and manually lift/move carts to facilitate production.
• Report to the Production Supervisor.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and correct or report hazards.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities on equipment and keep work areas clean.

What You’ll Get to Do

Thefull-time Material Handler 1- Glass (2nd shift + $2.00 night differential) for our Battle Ground,WAfacility is focused on moving materials using vacuum lift assist equipment, manually lifting and moving mobile carts from one position/location to another to facilitate the production process and reports the Production Supervisor.

Job responsibilities include:

• The ability to perform tasks safely, adhere to all safety policies and procedures and correct or report hazards in the workplace
• Understand and apply inspection procedures and tolerances to pass or reject materials and/or products
• Perform preventative maintenance activities on equipment, such as cleaning and inspecting. Keep work areas clean and organized
• Understand and comply with all written policies, work rules, and instructions. Execute verbal directions as instructed.
• Respect co-workers to maintain a civil and safe work environment

What We’re Looking For

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, bend, twist, carry, walk, and reach frequently
• Ability to stand and walk on a concrete floor wearing steel-toed shoes with metatarsal guards and other safety equipment for eight to twelve hours per day
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment without temperature or humidity control
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs

Position Pay Range

$20.50 — $21.50 USD
