Job Description

1st Shift: (6:00 am - 4:30 pm)

Job Summary

Responsible for loading, unloading, and maintaining material to assigned machine units. Responsible for palletizing finished goods and ensuring the pallets are wrapped in a manner that maintains stability and neatness. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned equipment (different types of equipment varying from Alphaliner, and Ferag). Responsible for quality, output, and production goals.

Key Duties / Responsibilities
  • Verify correct material for production line, load and unload materials into the machine. Perform basic machine setup (including ability to work the machine interface or controls), adjust machine components, and troubleshoot as needed. Respond to indicator lights and display screens and know the actions required to mitigate issues. Clear jams and address errors on end‑of‑line machine components.
  • Prepare all finished products according to established USPS standards, ensuring printed address labels are correct. Ensure finished goods are properly palletized and instruct the Hoist Operator to move product to finish location.
  • Support and comply with safety and security policies, including housekeeping standards.
  • Support and comply with internal and external audits, providing information, performing assigned tasks, and maintaining evidence of compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
Experience
  • 0-1 year related experience (preferred).
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Ability to multi‑task.
  • Ability to assess obstacles and make minor non‑mechanical adjustments to ensure safety and maintenance procedures are followed.
  • Ability to speak and communicate effectively in English (preferred).
  • Ability and knowledge to operate a pallet jack.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Team player (works well with others).
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment (varying upon equipment).

Physical Demands / Working Conditions

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing duties, the employee is required to carry up to 17 lbs., may push and pull up to 40 lbs., twist, stand, walk, reach, and grip/grasp throughout the shift. Employees frequently lift up to 17 lbs., squat, and kneel. The work environment includes moving mechanical parts, airborne dust, paper particles, and industrial lift trucks. Additional Information

The rate of pay for this role is $15.75 per hour. Typically roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Pay may include overtime, shift differential, call‑in, or standby pay.
