Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is hiring a Material Handler to move glass and metal products from tables and racks to production leads, ensuring safety and quality throughout a fast-paced shift.

The ideal candidate will read and follow paperwork, interpret measurements, and adapt to a rotating set of duties while maintaining a strong safety focus. Weekend availability is preferred for this on-site role.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand paperwork and labels.
• Able to read and interpret basic measurements and use a tape measure.
• Flexible schedule including weekends.
• One year of prior work experience in warehouse/manufacturing preferred.
• Safety-first approach in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials including glass from tables, racks, trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours daily.
• Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment.
• Perform different job functions on a rotating basis.
• Inspect product for any abnormalities and notify supervisor immediately of issues.
• Utilize a tape measure to ensure product is within specifications.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Material Handler is focused on moving glass and/or metal products from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates and reports to the Production Lead.

This role is perfect for an individual who has attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency), strong work ethic/reliability, and is a problem solver. A vital member of the IG Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

What We Are Looking For

• Ability to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels.
• Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively use a tape measure.
• Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule including working weekends as necessary.
• One year of previous work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or production facility, preferred.
