Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Material Handler to move glass and metal products, report to the Production Lead, and support the IG Department. This role rewards safety, detail, reliability, and problem solving.

Duties include transporting materials for long shifts, performing quality inspections, operating equipment, rotating tasks, and flagging issues. Prior warehouse experience is preferred; weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• One year of previous work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or production facility preferred.
• A safety-first approach in the workplace is required.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels.
• Ability to interpret basic mathematical measurements and use a tape measure effectively.

Responsibilities

• Transport of materials including glass from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours daily.
• Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment.
• Perform different job functions on a rotating basis.
• Inspect product for any abnormalities and notify supervisor immediately of any issues.
• Utilize a tape measure to ensure product is within the product specifications.

The Material Handler is focused on moving glass and/or metal products from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates and reports to the Production Lead.

This role is perfect for an individual who has attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency), strong work ethic/reliability, and is a problem solver. A vital member of the IG Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
