Job summary

SPX Technologies in Orlando, FL is seeking a Material Handler 1 to support warehousing, shipping, receiving, and inventory control across multiple departments.

Join a team that values safety, accuracy, and efficiency; responsibilities include pulling shop orders, staging kits, stocking inbound parts, and cycle counting, with a 6:00 AM–2:30 PM shift and forklift certification preferred.

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse t eam of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Material Handler 1, your responsibilities will include general warehousing, shipping, receiving, stock put-away, work order and sales order fulfillment, as well as daily cleanup and organization. These tasks will support various departments across the organization, and your role will not be limited to any one specific area.


What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:


Shop Order Pulling:



  • Accurately pull daily shop orders for internal customers by assembling production kits.

  • Stage kits on the production floor in accordance with the assembly schedule.


Shipping and Receiving:



  • Assist in efficiently pulling customer orders to ensure timely shipping and delivery.

  • Stocking of inbound received parts.

  • Package completed assemblies for shipment.


Cycle Counting:



  • Conduct weekly inventory counts to maintain accurate records to ensure consistency and precision.


What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:


Required Experience


  • 1 year of warehouse experience or equivalent experience


Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


  • ERP System experience, IFS preferred.

  • Experience with Microsoft suite applications

  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized


Education & Certifications


  • High school diploma preferred

  • Forklift certification preferred but not required.

  • International shipping experience and/or certifications.

  • 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

  • The employee is regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
