Job summary

Adventurer Manufacturing in Yakima, WA is seeking a Material Handler to support fast-paced production and distribution. You will load/unload trucks, move materials, maintain inventory accuracy, and work with ERP/WMS systems. This role requires 1–2 years of warehouse experience and forklift skills.

You must lift 50+ lbs, work 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. with overtime as needed, and have reliable transportation. We offer pay from $17.51–$22.56 per hour, plus medical/dental/vision, 401(k), tuition

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years in a manufacturing warehouse environment (order pulling/packing, safety).
  • Forklift experience with ability to move heavy materials (50+ lbs).
  • ERP or WMS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safely load and unload trucks and verify items received; inspect for damage.
  • Load/unload oversize materials and finished products.
  • Maintain inventory with item/bin location accuracy.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing and manufacturing teams for inventory accuracy.
  • Assist with investigating inventory discrepancies and perform cycle counts.
  • Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow safety procedures.
  • Pull, stage and deliver parts to production on time; work with computer systems for material control.

Overview:

The ideal Material Handler will be experienced forklift operators with material handling experience, having worked in a manufacturing production environment. Must be able to work as part of a team, as well as independently, in a fast-paced, physically demanding, repetitive work environment. This will include heavy lifting. Attention to detail and safety is a top priority!

Primary Responsibilities (but not limited to):
  • Safely load and unload trucks and verify items received, inspect for damaged freight.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading oversize materials and finished product.
  • Maintain inventory utilizing item and bin level location accuracy.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to ensure inventory systems are accurate.
  • Assist Warehouse Manager with investigating inventory discrepancies.
  • Perform accurate cycle counts at the direction of management.
  • Maintain a neat and clean workplace.
  • Exercise safety at all times.
  • Pull, Stage, and deliver parts to the production line in a timely manner to meet on time in full fulfillment requirements.
  • Work with various computer systems to accomplish the day-to-day requirements of material control.
Skills and Experience:
  • 1-2 years of training or relevant experience in manufacturing warehouse environment, order pulling/picking, equipment maintenance, quality control and safety processes.
  • Highly skilled forklift operations (large materials preferably).
  • Prior shipping and receiving experience.
  • Inventory experience: Cycle Count / Year End Inventory.
  • Prior data entry experience.
  • Prior experience with ERP or WMS systems a plus.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following all company protocols, regulations, and procedures.
  • Willing and able to work 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and mandatory overtime as needed.
  • Must have demonstrated effective communication and teamwork ability with follow-through on assignments.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must be organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift, move, maneuver up to 50+ lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work on your feet all day in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to reach, climb, balance, stoop, bend, twist, and crouch.
  • Willing to work indoor and outdoor and in all-weather elements.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
