Job summary

Purple Crow in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a reliable Warehouse Material Handler to efficiently manage materials, maintain accurate inventory, and support morning operations on the 5am-2pm shift.

You will operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts, use tablets and scanners, follow FIFO protocols, and uphold safety and organization in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in basic math and inventory counting.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience operating electric pallet jacks and forklifts preferred.
• Familiarity with FIFO inventory management.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items safely.
• Comfortable using tablets and handheld scanners.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
• Availability for morning shift hours.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and distribute materials within the warehouse following FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
• Operate electric fork lift safely and efficiently to move heavy materials.
• Use handheld scanners and tablets to track inventory and update records accurately.
• Perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Assist with loading and unloading shipments as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Basic math skills for inventory counting and record keeping.
• Previous warehouse experience (preferred).
• Experience operating electric pallet jacks and forklift (preferred).
• Familiarity with FIFO inventory management.
