The Material Handler is responsible for both supporting and maintaining all aspects of warehouse operations, including, but not limited to, shipping, receiving and warehouse equipment maintenance. The Material Handler is also responsible for controlling the movement and proper storage of material to and from production by item and lot number and coordinating the movement of raw material deliveries and finished goods.

Shift: C Shift (6 AM-6 PM 2-2-3 schedule)

The Role

  • Operate all equipment related to warehouse activities – this includes, but is not limited to, propane gas or electric powered stand-up or sit-down industrial forklifts to push, pull, lift, stack, or move products

  • Complete production material request and pick list forms in an accurate manner and within 90 minutes of receipt of request

  • Distribute and store material (finished good, work in process, raw material) and product within the company specified guidelines

  • Understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures related to the operation of the warehouse and the site

  • Perform required documentation on all Manufacturing Work Orders; complete material transactions (via) JD Edward 9.1 to verify material quantity, expiration date, location, and current status

  • Return materials from production to the proper location before the shift end to allow for accuracy and availability for the next manufacturing campaign

  • Loading/or unload all trailer loads utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety practices

  • Maintain a clean and safe warehouse by sweeping, mopping, and cleaning floors; removing obstacles from walkways, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned.

The Candidate

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.

  • Prior pharmaceutical or food manufacturing/processing experience preferred. 1+ years experience in a warehouse environment required.

  • Good documentation skills and proficient reading and writing skills

  • Low to Mid level lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Maneuvering of drums varying in weight with push, pull and scooting for placement to and from 6-inch pallets (up to 80 lbs. of force). Corrected or uncorrected vision of at least 20/40 in each eye, no diplopia, steropsis of 100 sec arc., and at least 70 Degrees of horizontal field of vision in each eye.

  • Operating safely in a dynamic environment which includes mobile and fixed equipment and machinery with changing conditions while completing job tasks that range from simple to complex and/or multi-tasking. Safe operation of work saver equipment for efficient bulk relocation of support products.
