Job summary

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Material Handler for a contract opportunity in Waddell, AZ. You will safely operate a pallet jack, move pallets, and support the palletizing equipment to maintain smooth production flow.

Job description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Material Handler for a contract opportunity in Waddell, AZ.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely operate a pallet jack to move pallets throughout designated work area and perform related tasks to assigned area
• Operate, changeover, clean, troubleshoot, and complete basic maintenance on palletizing equipment
• Ensure effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
• Perform safety inspections and audits as required
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures
• Use scanning equipment to ensure accurate tracking of inventory within the facility
• Follow standard work policies and procedures
• Work as a team with forklift drivers to ensure production flow and improve operations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

• Experience working in a warehouse environment a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to regularly lift, move, and place up to 50 pounds of inventory as needed.
• Safety sensitive role, will be required to use a pallet jack on occasion. They will be surrounded by equipment and be in close proximity to robot forklifts, so situational awareness is key based on a heightened danger in their work environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• Accredited High School Diploma or GED.

WORK HOURS:

• Full-Time- Expected Number of Hours Worked Per Week - 36, 48 alternating weeks; 12 hour shifts

ADDITIONAL:

• This work assignment has been designated as "safety-sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety-sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory pre-placement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety-sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.
