About the Company

SJS Industrial is a veteran-owned media blasting, industrial painting, powder coating, and light fabrication shop in Virginia Beach, VA, serving military and maritime customers.

Position Details

We are seeking a full-time Material Handler to work Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The shift includes a 30-minute unpaid meal break and two 15-minute paid breaks. Occasional Saturday or evening shifts may occur for tight deadlines, but the goal is a steady Monday through Friday schedule to avoid weekend and overtime work.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare and mask surfaces of components prior to coating.
2. Operate small hand and power tools safely, such as pneumatic sanders, drills, and impact wrenches.
3. Hang parts on mobile racks for coating using appropriate methods.
4. Remain on your feet during the shift, performing bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, and reaching as needed.
5. Perform shift clean-up duties as required.
6. Follow all safety guidelines and report concerns.
7. Follow instructions and attend safety and production training.
8. Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
9. Learn proper grounding techniques and project documentation fundamentals.
10. Complete other production tasks as assigned.
11. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

1. Valid Virginia State Driver's License.

5. Ability to wear PPE as required.
