Job summary

Oxco, Inc is seeking a Production Material Handler at our facility near Charlotte, NC. You will wrap, label, palletize, package, transport and store finished goods on production lines to keep lines running efficiently.

Responsibilities include using WMS and RF scanners, recording lot numbers and locations, and ensuring accurate ISO documentation. Forklift/PIT certification may be required; training is provided as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment preferred.
  • Forklift, clamp, and carpet pole experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain forklift or PIT certification as designated by Oxco.

Responsibilities

  • Stage raw materials from the warehouse to the production line.
  • Consolidate and store raw and finished goods in proper locations.
  • Quality inspection of incoming/outgoing orders.
  • Perform cycle counts on raw/finished inventory and participate in inventories.
  • Transport completed production into warehouse or staging areas for shipment.
  • Record storage locations using bar code scanners; maintain organization of warehouse areas.
  • Assist in training new employees and report safety concerns.
  • Conduct daily forklift, PIT, and equipment inspections; keep areas clean and safe.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Production Material Handler Summary

As a Material Handler you are responsible for efficiently and effectively wrapping bundling labeling palletizing packaging transporting and storing finished goods produced on the production lines Keeps the production lines cleared of finished items to promote machine efficiency Assigns lot numbers and records item numbers item quantities units of measure UOM and locations Material Handlers are responsible for multiple tasks in production and warehouseFunctionsResponsibilities Conduct behavior and actions in accordance with Oxco core values of Caring Creativity Determination Dependability and TeamworkUtilize computerized warehouse management systems WMS radio frequency RF scanners and barcodes to process customer orders receive product and relocate items throughout the warehouseStage raw materials from the warehouse to the production lineConsolidates and stores raw and finished goods in their proper locationsSafely storing material and suppliesQuality inspection of incoming and outgoing ordersPerform cycle counts on raw and or finished inventory and participate in all scheduled physical InventoriesShrink wrap machine to prepare finished goods for shipmentTransport completed production into warehouse or staging areas for shipment to customersUse bar code scanner to properly record storage locationsMaintain the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and working areas including the outside perimeter of the building around docks common areas and landscapingAssist in the training of new employees as directed by leadership teamIdentify and communicate any safety concerns and report any property damagePerform and document daily forklift PIT and equipment inspectionsFlexibility to train and work in multiple areasRaise any issues or concerns that arise day to day work to the Supervisor Plant Manager or PresidentOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education High School or GED Experience 1 year of experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment preferred Forklift clamp and carpet pole experience preferred License or Certification Ability to obtain forklift or PIT certification as designated by OXCO to safely operate any powered equipment essential to the job function
