Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Material Handler (1st Shift) for the Moody, AL facility. The role focuses on receiving, organizing, and stocking inventory to support production with strict adherence to safety and 6S standards.

Responsibilities include processing vendor receipts in SAP, maintaining accurate storage locations, and supporting cycle counts and audits. On-site 6S and safety compliance are required daily.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution experience.
• Working knowledge of inventory management systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• High school diploma or GED; trade school preferred.

• Work independently under limited supervision to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Receive inventory from vendors, inspect for conformance, and process receipts into SAP.
• Maintain accurate storage locations and warehouse organization.
• Update SAP system with inventory movements and new storage locations.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints and work instructions.
• Pull, stage, and supply materials for shipping and production needs.
• Ensure assembly cells are stocked with required materials.
• Maintain, inspect, and clean equipment as required.
• Follow 6S principles to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and PPE requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

The Material Handler will work under limited supervision and perform a variety of warehouse and inventory-related duties with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and quality.

This role requires willingness to work mandatory overtime when needed.
