Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services is seeking a Material Handler for our Lancaster location on 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM). You will receive and store items, stock production machines, and move parts through the facility to ensure smooth production flows.

The ideal candidate has experience with SAP and forklift equipment, good communication, and precise math skills. A GED/HS diploma is required, with 6–12 months of shipping experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year shipping experience preferred.
• Forklift certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and store items from suppliers and distribute to appropriate areas.
• Stock production machines and assist manufacturing with components.
• Move finished parts to final inspection or shipping; scan as needed.
• Stock shelves with components throughout shift and prepare materials for plating.
• Move incoming material to proper stock locations and rotate stock.
• Deliver received goods; pull packing slips and direct to correct department.
• Operate forklift to load/unload trucks; manage bar stock and pallets.
• Recycle cardboard and maintain bin cleanliness.
• Grease O-rings and fill clips; assist in pallet wrapping.
• Support continuous improvement in Production; replenish materials at machines.

Job description

Our client, is seeking a Material Handler in their Lancaster location. This will be for 2nd Shift (2P-10:30P)

Job Details: Responsible for receiving and storing all items from suppliers and properly distributing those items throughout the facility based on internal or external customer requirements.

• Keeps production machines stocked with product by placing appropriate parts at the machines as needed
• Assists manufacturing associates in obtaining components for production
• Moves full boxes of finished parts to final inspection or shipping and scan
• Stocks shelves with components throughout the shift
• Sends parts out to be plated
• Assists in moving incoming material to proper stock location and rotates stock
• Pulls packing slips off cartons and delivers received goods to appropriate person/department
• Uses forklift to load and unload trucks including bar stock & pallets
• Moves cardboard to recycle bin and empty bin as needed
• Greases O-rings and fill clips as needed
• Helps band and wrap pallets
• Actively supports continuous improvement within Production Department
• Perform regular rounds to replenish material at machines
• Make boxes and replenish throughout shift as needed

Ideal Candidate:

• Knowledge of SAP, fork truck, pallet jack, and Big Joe (Stock Picker) preferred
• Able to communicate effectively
• Attention to detail including basic math skills

Requirements:

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 6 months to 1 years of shipping experience required
• No industry experience required
• Forklift certification is strongly preferred
