Job summary

Remedy Intelligent Staffing seeks a 1st Shift Materials Handler in Carlisle to maintain inventory, prepare stock for shipment, and support production orders.

You will operate material-handling equipment, maintain inventory records, and assist in replenishment. Must have forklift certification, 1+ year in steel/construction, and a high school diploma or GED. Outdoor work in various weather conditions may be required.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification with at least 1 year experience.
• Experience in steel or construction environments is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; record location of inventory.
• Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials listed on production orders.
• Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
• Document product shipment by recording units shipped.
• Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; perform operator repairs.
• Maintain in-process inventory.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Participate in ordering or purchasing standard stock items within established procedures and limits.

1st Shift Materials Handler

Our client is looking for an experienced Material Handler.This position is located in Carlisle.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00/ hour (DOE)

Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm (Monday- Friday)

Duties:

• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
• Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
• Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
• Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs.
• Maintains in-process inventory
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Participates in ordering or purchasing standard stock items, such as recommending additions or deletions to standard stock items or ordering replenishments within established procedures and limits.

Requirements:

• Current Forklift Certification – min of 1 year experience required
• 1+ year of experience in a steel or construction environment
• High School diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Previous inventory management experience.
• Ability to stand and walk for an 8-10 our shift.
• Position could involve working outdoors in all weather conditions including extreme heat or cold.
