This position is in Sugar Land, TX and will report to the Warehouse Manager.The Material Handler is responsible for processing materials requests in a safe and efficient manner to ensure that production has the materials needed to fulfill customer orders. **Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:*** Complies with established safety policies and procedures and other regulations as applicable.* Processes material requests/returns.* Scans movements.* Pulls/stores material by operating a narrow aisle truck (swing reach/turret stock picker).* Transports material by operating a forklift.* Conducts inventory.* Cleans and ensures the department is maintained in an orderly fashion.* Performs other related duties as assigned.**The ideal candidate shall possess the following:** * High School Diploma or GED required.* Basic computer skills. Experience with web-based software and ERP systems required.* Ability to read, write and speak in the English language to the extent necessary to effectively communicate and interpret instructions.* Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience in a manufacturing environment required.* Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs.
