Springs Fabrication, Inc. is seeking a reliable Material Handler to support our manufacturing operations in California. The role focuses on accurate material flow, inventory control, and safe operation of forklifts and other material-moving equipment.

You will greet delivery drivers, verify shipments, label and stage materials, and coordinate with production teams to ensure timely availability of parts for jobs. This position offers growth within a drug-free workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in material handling or warehouse operations preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Basic math and documentation skills for inventory tracking.

Responsabilités

• Greet and assist delivery drivers; verify shipments against packing slips and POs.
• Identify, label, and stage materials; move with forklifts and hoists; ensure traceability.
• Perform receiving inspections and maintain stock segregation and surface quality.
• Package and label shipments; load onto trucks; maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Coordinate with production and supply chain teams to move materials.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

## Description### **Summary**We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented **Material Handler** to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring smooth material flow throughout our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in material handling, inventory control, and safe operation of forklifts and other material-moving equipment.---### **Key Responsibilities*** Greet and assist delivery drivers; verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.* Accurately identify, label, and stage materials for production; transport them safely to designated areas using forklifts, cranes, and hoists; pick and prepare materials for jobs ensuring proper documentation and traceability; and conduct recurring physical inventories to maintain accuracy.* Perform receiving inspections and maintain segregation and surface quality standards.* Load and secure materials onto trucks or containers; package and label shipments according to specifications.* Dispose of scrap, metal burr, coolant, and other materials to maintain a clean and safe work environment.* Communicate effectively with production and supply chain teams to coordinate material movement.* Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities.* Maintain flexibility to meet production demands and assist other departments as needed.## Qualifications---### **Qualifications*** **Education/Experience:** High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in material handling or warehouse operations preferred.* **Skills:** + Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely. + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation. + Effective communication and teamwork abilities.* **Physical Requirements:** Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs regularly; work in a manufacturing environment.We offer opportunities for job growth and advancement within the company!We are a drug-free workplace! 5-panel drug screen (including Marijuana) and background check are part of our pre-hire process.###
