Job summary

Archway Marketing Services in South Bend, IN is hiring for a full-time warehouse associate. The role requires safe operation of power equipment, forklift use, and accurate picking/packing for shipment.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly. A strong team player with detail orientation will excel in this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate power-operated equipment safely and efficiently.
• Move products including loading/unloading trucks.
• Pick and pack items for shipment, potentially with a forklift.
• Label and prepare items for shipment.
• Coordinate with Inventory Control for correct product placement.
• Complete required paperwork and time-tracking documentation.
• Maintain warehouse order and keep pallet locations open for incoming items.
• Restock items not required short term per procedures.
• Update Warehouse Management System with transactions.
• Perform daily safety checklist and battery charging.

Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $18.50

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Key Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of all power operated equipment that requires certification
• Safe and efficient movement of Product. (Including loading and unloading trucks)
• Accurately pick and pack items for shipment potentially with a forklift
• Label and prepare items for shipment
• Work with Inventory Control on correct product placement
• Complete required paperwork and project time-tracking documentation
• Maintain warehouse order to ensure pallet locations are kept available for incoming items
• Ensure all items not required short term are restocked according to established procedures
• Update Warehouse Management System with transaction
• Performs daily safety checklist and standard battery charging procedure
• Assist with contacting freight couriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
• Assist in cycle counting and periodic inventories
• Assist team members in meeting and exceeding customer expectations
• Update supervisor and team lead on issues or concerns
• Participate in process Improvement by communicating to supervisor and/or team lead
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
• Support and maintain corporate quality, health and safety standards, processes, policies, practices and work instructions. (ISO standards where applicable)
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience required
• Forklift experience preferred
• Current forklift certification and/or ability to become certified within a 30-day period required
• Basic math and reading skills
• Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions
• Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds solo and greater weights in a team-lift environment
• Physical requirements include: lifting, carrying, bending, stretching, and standing for long periods of time, ability to handle heights
