Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking a Material Handler at our Smithfield, RI facility. This on-site, full-time role involves loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting items within the warehouse, using a handheld scanner and forklift as needed.

You will help maintain safety, quality and housekeeping standards while supporting team efficiencies. Starting pay is $19.50 to $21 per hour, with benefits after 30 days and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred.
• Able to manually load/unload and stage items.
• Work safely and maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manually pick and stage warehouse items at loading docks.
• Use handheld scanner to locate items and move to dock doors.
• Move damaged items to reclaim or RTV areas.
• Operate forklift and order picker as required.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of dock and aisles.
• Support team efficiency without compromising accuracy.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks when needed.

Description

Reeb Millwork, an SBP Brand, is currently looking for a Material Handler to join our VALUES based organization. Responsible, at various points, for loading, unloading, sorting, staging, transporting and otherwise handling products that come into and move out of the warehouse.

• Manually pick and stage correct warehouse items at the appropriate loading dock location
• Use of hand-held scanner to locate items and move them to appropriate dock door
• Move any damaged or non-conforming items to the appropriate area for reclaim or RTV
• Use of a forklift and order picker will be required
• Conduct all activities in a safe manner, adhering to company safety standards
• Meet standards for quality as set forth by the company by inspecting product as pulled and/or loaded
• Assure proper housekeeping and organization on the loading dock and warehouse aisles
• Strive to meet team efficiencies for items pulled without compromising accuracy
• May be required to assist in unloading or loading trucks when necessary

Starting pay salary $19.50-$21/HR, based on experience.
