Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to support efficient production by operating packaging equipment, supplying materials to the line, and providing forklift support on night shift.

Responsibilities include starting up and shutting down packaging equipment, recording production data, keeping equipment stocked with consumables, and maintaining a clean, safe 5S work area. The role requires standing, some lifting up to 50 pounds, and ability to work in dusty indoor environment.

• Monitoring and reporting in-process quality observations to other production team-mates.
• Maintain the 5 S posture of the assigned area.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Material Handler supports efficient production by operating packaging equipment, supplying materials to the production line, and providing forklift support to dry end operations. This role is responsible for maintaining product flow, monitoring equipment performance, managing work-in-progress inventory, and ensuring the packaging area remains clean, organized, and safe throughout the shift.

Night Shift: 2:00pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Start up and shut down dry end packaging equipment.
• Inputs production run data into the computers controlling the various pieces of equipment according to the production schedule.
• Keeps the machines running correctly and with the correct product information.
• Maintains an uninterrupted supply of bags, labels and other consumables to the equipment in area.
• Cuts slats.
• Dumps hoppers.
• Monitoring and reporting in-process quality observations to other production team-mates.
• Maintain the 5 S posture of the assigned area.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Additional Requirements

• The working conditions include an indoor dusty non-air-conditioned industrial manufacturingand warehouse environment. Subject to temperatures that range from 65 to 90 degrees in thegeneral working environment and hotter in certain areas of the plant. Occasional outdooractivities in hot or adverse weather. Twenty-four hour working environment with multiple shiftsand varying schedules.
• This position requires standing for the majority of the shift. Bending, reaching, twisting It alsorequires occasional operation of a forklift. Must be able to lift up 50 pounds.
