Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our medical supply manufacturing team. In this role, you will support production operations by accurately stocking, organizing, and distributing materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to follow established processes and regulatory requirements in a fast-paced environment.
This position is responsible for ensuring the orderly flow of materials and products by pulling inventory, delivering production supplies, staging finished goods for distribution, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The Material Handler will work across both first-floor and second-floor warehouse locations and play a critical role in supporting production efficiency and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Pull and verify materials and supplies according to production orders and work instructions.
- Count, organize, and stage materials for kitting and production activities.
- Stock inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory management practices.
- Transport materials throughout the facility using pallet jacks and other approved material-handling equipment.
- Learn and maintain knowledge of stock locations in both warehouse areas.
- Deliver production materials and supplies to designated workstations as needed.
- Stage finished products for final distribution and shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records with clear and legible documentation.
- Keep inventory areas, workspaces, and equipment clean, organized, and audit-ready.
- Adhere to all workplace safety practices and company procedures.
- Follow FDA regulations, quality standards, company policies, operating procedures, and work instructions.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate positively with team members, supervisors, vendors, and other departments.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous warehouse, material handling, stocking, or inventory experience preferred.
- Ability to use pallet jacks safely and effectively.
- Strong counting and inventory accuracy skills.
- Clear handwriting and basic written documentation skills.
- Ability to follow detailed processes, procedures, and work instructions.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to learn warehouse layouts and stock locations quickly.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and move materials in accordance with company safety guidelines.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse and production environment.
