Job summary

Altec Industries, Inc. is seeking candidates for a warehouse supporting role located in the United States. The primary duty is to receive and deliver parts and materials to stocking areas, and to pick/pack/ship products to other departments and customers.

Starting pay is $22.50 per hour, with opportunities for skill-based advancement. Preferred experience includes material handling, forklift/picker operations, and general warehouse duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Material handling and warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift/picker experience a plus.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents (engineering drawings).
• Proficiency with barcode scanning and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive and deliver parts and materials to stocking areas.
• Pick/pack/ship product to other departments, divisions, and customers.
• Follow safety and quality policies and work instructions.
• Learn and operate department equipment; support Lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Rotate responsibilities as needed and use Oracle/Altec Navigator systems.

Basic Qualifications

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.

High School or GED is required

*Altec Service experience preferred

Preferred (please make sure related experience is on the resume or application)

• Material Handling experience
• Forklift / Picker experience
• Warehouse experience
• Computer skills, with bar-coding a plus
• Ability to read and understand technical documents – i.e. engineering drawings

Responsibilities

• To provide quality and timely workon each job performed
• Follow all established safety & quality policies and practices
• Learn and follow all work instructions
• Learn and operate all equipment within the department
• Support APS initiatives – Lean Manufacturing
• Rotate responsibilities as needed.
• Computer program usage – Ability to learn Oracle data base / Altec Navigator
