Job summary

Altec Industries, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive, stock, ship, and deliver parts and materials. You will pick, pack, and ship to various departments, lines, and customers, while maintaining paperwork and time records.

The role requires safety awareness and collaboration with vendors, with a day shift and a strong emphasis on quality and efficiency. Preferred candidates have material handling experience, forklift/picker experience, and familiarity with warehouse operations.

Qualifications

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Computer knowledge required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Preferred: material handling experience.
  • Forklift/picker experience and warehouse experience.
  • Knowledge of Bill of Materials/Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, stock, and ship parts and materials.
  • Pick, pack, and ship product to departments, divisions, and customers.
  • Locate and deliver parts to lines as required.
  • Prepare shipments and count/inspect received goods.
  • Interact with vendors and shippers professionally.
  • Maintain paperwork and daily time records.
  • Follow safety, environmental, and quality policies.

Job description

Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Warehouse Associate is to receive, stock, ship, and deliver parts and materials. Pick/ pack/ ship product to other departments, other divisions, and customers.

  • Use and provide proper care of PPE
  • Locate and deliver parts and components to lines as required
  • Prepare shipments
  • Receive, count, inspect shipments and move to proper locations
  • Load outgoing and unload incoming shipments
  • Interact with vendors and shippers in a professional and safe manner
  • Keep paperwork up to date
  • Transport hazardous material as needed
  • Routinely inspect fork truck
  • Support the Altec Production System (APS)
  • Follow established safety, environmental and quality policies, procedures and practices
  • Maintain work area and shop tools/equipment
  • Maintain daily time records
  • Other job duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Computer skills, with bar-coding a plus

Knowledge of Bill of Materials/Manufacturing
