Job summary

Altec, a family-owned leader in aerial devices and equipment, is seeking a Material Handler for 2nd and 3rd shifts. The role involves receiving and delivering parts, operating department equipment, and maintaining quality workmanship.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience, and the ability to read engineering drawings. CDL is a plus, and training opportunities are available within a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive and deliver parts and materials to stocking areas, production areas, and other departments.
• Follow safety and quality policies and work instructions.
• Learn and operate department equipment.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and APS initiatives.
• Rotate responsibilities as needed.
• Use Oracle database/Altec Navigator for paperwork and tracking.

Competitive Starting Wage with Shift Differential (2 nd and 3 rd shift)

The Material Handler receives and delivers parts and materials to stocking areas, production areas, and other departments. These positions could be for the 2 nd or 3 rd shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Material Handling/Forklift experience
• Computer skills including bar-coding; ability to read and understand technical documents – i.e., engineering drawings
• Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift
• CDL desirable
• Technical/Vocational Training preferred

Responsibilities

• To provide quality and timely workmanship on each job performed.
• Follows all established safety & quality policies and practices.
• Learn and follow all work instructions.
• Learn and operate all equipment within the department.
• Support APS initiatives – Lean Manufacturing
• Rotate responsibilities as needed.
• Computer program usage – Ability to learn Oracle database / Altec Navigator
