Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking a Material Handler for our Rome, GA warehouse. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of sit-down forklift experience with squeeze/clamp attachments and is comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

RF scanner familiarity and inventory management skills are preferred. Responsibilities include operating the forklift, loading/unloading, moving and staging materials, and ensuring accurate inventory records.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of sit-down forklift experience required.
• RF scanner experience preferred.
• Inventory management experience preferred.
• Clean MVR required.
• Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift including squeeze/clamp attachments.
• Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the warehouse.
• Transport materials to designated production and storage areas.
• Use RF scanners to track and locate inventory.
• Assist with inventory management and material organization.
• Verify quantities during receiving and shipping activities.
• Maintain accurate inventory and material records.
• Keep warehouse areas organized and safe.
• Follow all forklift and safety procedures.

Material Handler – Warehouse

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift
Location: Rome, GA

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience operating a sit-down forklift, including squeeze/clamp attachments, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Experience with RF scanners and inventory management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a sit-down forklift, including squeeze/clamp attachments


• Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the warehouse


• Transport materials to designated production and storage areas


• Use RF scanners to track and locate inventory


• Assist with inventory management and material organization
