Job summary

QPS Employment Group in Rockford, IL seeks a Material Handler for a 3rd shift (11:00pm–7:00am). You will operate a sit-down forklift, move work-in-process materials, deliver metal strips to production lines and transport cases to staging areas.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, input data, read production instructions, and work OT as needed in a non-temperature-controlled environment. This is a potential for hire with immediate openings.

Qualifications

• Able to operate a sit-down forklift and move materials.
• Able to read and follow production instructions and quality guides.
• Capable of inputting data into a computer system.
• Able to perform math calculations using decimals.
• Able to push/pull and lift up to ~50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift to move WIP materials from storage to production.
• Deliver metal strips or blanks to production lines and place on stock tables.
• Deliver unassembled cases or bags to work area for assembly.
• Transport product-filled cases to designated staging areas for transportation.
• Move scrap to designated areas and maintain clean, orderly work areas.
