HBI Amerilab Technologies is a growing and leading US manufacturer in the development, manufacturing, and packaging of effervescent tablets, and effervescent and non-effervescent powders in stick packs and sachets, and we are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Material Handler to join our team.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 1 st shift, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
The Material Handler will load, unload, and move materials within or near the production/warehouse area.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reads work order or follows oral instructions for materials or containers to be moved.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
- Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination or signals crane or hoisting operators to move load to destination.
- Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
- Loads truck for Industrial Truck Operator.
- Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.
- Removes samples of materials, labels with identifying information, and takes samples to laboratory for analysis.
- Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.
- Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
Safety Protocol:
- Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
- Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
- Support safety policies and programs.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Education / Experience / Certifications:
- High School degree or equivalent.
- 1-3 years’ experience in warehouse / production environment.
Certified / experienced fork-lift driver a plus (stand-up / sit down / all other equipment as needed).
Skills Required:
- Computer skills (able to follow instructions and operate task using an ERP System)
- Efficiency in Staging / Shipping / Receiving paperwork
- Efficiency in picking materials / counts / returns
- Communication both verbal and written
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
