Position Summary:

This role involves the safe handling, storage, and shipping of specialty chemicals. The Material Handler will support various functions in materials management, ensuring efficient operations.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Calculate weights and measures related to warehousing, receiving, and shipping.
• Secure packages on handling units using stretch wrap machines and prepare orders (wrapping/banding).
• Label individual packaging accurately.
• Maintain basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• Report incidents or accidents appropriately.
• Comply with all permit requirements and safety policies.
• Document activities clearly on forms or work orders.
• Read and understand safety rules, policies, and manuals.
• Follow written and oral instructions effectively.
• Perform janitorial and general labor duties, including housekeeping.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Willing to work overtime on short notice.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience in processing or batching industry preferred.
• Team-oriented, responsible, and willing to train others.
• Strong organizational, mathematical, problem-solving, and computer skills.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening, including drug test, background check, and physical.
