Susquehanna Printing Company is seeking a Night Shift PT Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler will be responsible for material handling, product stacking, packaging, distribution of pre-printed inserts and printed products, and feeding inserts into a machine.

This position offers 20-30 hours per week, with 10-12 hour shifts required.

Shift Details

• Part-time Night shift: Must be available to work every Thursday and Friday night (typically 6pm-4am), with possible Saturday nights 10pm-3am.

About Us

Susquehanna Printing, part of Steinman Communications, has a rich history dating back to the 1860s. We produce newspapers, tabloids, books, and periodicals for the mid-Atlantic region. Our facilities are climate-controlled, and the environment may require overtime work. Must be able to stand throughout the shift.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain safety and injury prevention, addressing unsafe conditions promptly.
• Retrieve and move production materials using forklifts, hand trucks, and dollies.
• Feed pre-printed materials into machine hoppers.
• Stack and monitor quality of printed products, preparing bundles for distribution.
• Build skids, load newspaper bundles, and wrap finished products.
• Work with a sense of urgency, be team-oriented, adaptable, and communicate effectively.
• Work overtime as needed, including weekdays and weekends.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Feeding experience required
• Preferred: Forklift and dollies experience, basic office equipment proficiency, and familiarity with hand tools.
