Job summary

ConMet Canton is seeking a Material Handler to support our Production & Shipping Department at the Canton Facility. You will follow work instructions, move materials, and operate a forklift to ensure timely product flow.

The role offers First and Second Shifts, with strong safety standards and an emphasis on accurate material handling and inventory control. Benefits include ESOP participation, 401(k) match, and comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Minimum twelve months of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to accurately operate a scan gun.

Responsibilities

• Follow written work instructions.
• Complete daily forklift checklist.
• Transport materials/parts to correct locations to ensure timely delivery.
• Safely load/unload trailers using electric forklift.
• Pull and stage customer orders from warehouse.
• Keep Warehouse/Raw Material/Packaging storage areas organized and clean.
• Accurately record material movements via scan gun transactions.
• Notify supervisor of unresolved problems.

Description

Are you looking to apply your material handler skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? If so, we encourage you to apply for a Material Handler position at ConMet - Canton to support our Production & Shipping Department operations.

Shifts: First & Second Shifts available

What You Will Do:

• Follow written work instructions.
• Complete daily forklift checklist.
• Transport materials/parts to correct locations effectively and timely to ensure no impact to the internal and external customers.
• Safely load/unload trailers using electric forklift.
• Pull/stage customer orders from warehouse.
• Keep Warehouse/Raw Material / Packaging storage areas organized and clean.
• Put away material in designated locations.
• Accurately record material movements via scan gun transactions to ensure accurate inventory.
• Notify supervisor of unresolved problems.

What You Need to Be Successful:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) strongly preferred
• Minimum twelve months of related experience and/or training
• Ability to accurately operate a scan gun
