Job summary

Gusmer Enterprises is seeking a Material Handler to support production by staging raw materials, receiving and storing inventory, and delivering materials throughout the facility. The role requires forklift certification, a high school diploma or GED, and at least two years of warehouse experience.

You will maintain accurate records and ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, with overtime and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least two years of warehouse experience.
  • Forklift experience is required; certification preferred.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

  • Support production schedules by staging raw materials and packaging supplies to ensure efficient workflow and minimize downtime.
  • Receive, inspect, verify, and store incoming materials, maintaining accurate inventory records and following FIFO inventory practices.
  • Pick, transport, and deliver materials and finished goods throughout the facility while ensuring product accuracy and traceability.
  • Complete warehouse, inventory, and work order documentation accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Package, load, and prepare shipments to ensure products are protected during handling, transportation, and delivery.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused warehouse environment while operating forklifts and material handling equipment in compliance with safety standards.

Location: Onsite

Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor

Employment Status: Full-Time

Travel: None

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm overtime and weekends as needed

Pay: $21.91/hour

Position Overview: The Material Handler plays an essential role in keeping operations running safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Supports production teams through collaboration and communication to ensure materials are delivered where and when they are needed, while maintaining an organized, compliant, and high-quality warehouse environment. Responsibilities include receiving, storing, retrieving, packaging, loading, unloading, and transporting materials. Must maintain forklift certification to fulfill job duties.

Key Responsibilities

Work Environment

This position typically functions in office environment and warehouse/production areas. There will be exposure to moderate noise levels, fumes, dust, chemicals, heat/cold, and allergens especially in the warehouse and production environments.
