Job summary

Aebi Schmidt Group is seeking a qualified material handler in Nashville to operate forklifts, manage inventory, and coordinate material flow across production lines. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and a proactive approach to maintaining supply readiness.

Responsibilities include maintaining licenses, performing cycle counts, and assisting with timely material movements. A strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, and adherence to 5S standards is required for success.

Responsibilities

• Maintain forklift/stand-up license and daily maintenance logs.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through stock transfers and cycle counts.
• Plan and order materials per operations schedule.
• Ensure timely supply of POU materials to avoid downtime.
• Identify damaged materials and follow non-conforming scrap process.
• Move materials using pallet jacks, forklifts, stand-up trucks, or pack mules.
• Communicate shortages and assist operators as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement and 5S initiatives.
• Support safety standards and prepare necessary reports.

Regular Employee | Hourly Non-Exempt | $20.00 - 20.00

What you’ll do:

• Maintainvalid forklift/stand-up license- including completion of daily fork truckmaintenance log and proper maintenance of equipment
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP and bar code scanners systems (If applicable)
• Responsible for maintaining inventory record accuracy through accurate stocktransfers and cycle counts
• Plans and orders materials as required by operations schedule
• Ensure production/line-side POU (Point of Use) materials are supplied in atimely manner to ensure zero production downtime
• Identifiesdamaged materials and follows the non-conforming materials scrap process
• Places materials to and from a variety of box/skid/containers/racking locationwhile maintaining accurately placed parts according to material home locationspreviously created
• Transports materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehiclesto accomplish task including but not limited to pallet jack, forklift, stand-upand/or pack mule
• Identifies and communicates shortage parts
• Assists operators as needed by lifting heavy objects
• Participates in quality improvement efforts
• Ensuringdepartments alignment to all corporate initiatives using the 5S methodology
• Assists in maintaining safety standards in all areas of responsibility
• Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports andcommunication.
• Willingness to work OT on short notice
• Preparation and participation in physical inventory
