Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Material Handler in Plymouth, MN. The role includes receiving and inspecting materials, moving items with forklifts and pallet jacks, labeling inventory, and ensuring accurate shipping and receiving records.

You will support production, maintain safety, and help with light mechanical assembly as needed. Ideal candidates have forklift experience, ability to read blueprints and work instructions, strong math and mechanical aptitude, and prior warehouse experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, products, and fabricated parts.
• Sort, stage, and transport metal parts throughout the production facility.
• Move raw materials and finished goods using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Label and organize inventory and storage locations.
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, quantities, and product specifications.
• Open material bundles, sort stock, and confirm material size and thickness.
• Complete shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation accurately.
• Perform inventory counts and assist with order fulfillment.
• Package, crate, and prepare products for shipping.
• Resolve inventory, location, and damaged goods discrepancies.
• Support production and assembly teams as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist with light mechanical assembly when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution experience is preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems is beneficial.
• Knowledge of inventory control procedures, warehouse documentation, or Lean warehouse practices is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate reliability, teamwork, attention to detail, and safe work habits are well positioned for success as a Material Handler.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive material handling tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely move products using manual or powered material handling equipment.
• Ability to work efficiently in warehouse or manufacturing environments while following established safety procedures.
• Wear required PPE, including steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and gloves
