STS Packaging, a Schwarz Partners, L.P. affiliate company, is seeking a Material Handler in Mooresville/Monrovia, IN. The Material Handler reports to the Shift Supervisor. The primary responsibility is to inspect all production cases for quality and ship ability (proper labeling, sealing, etc.). Product must be stacked and stretch wrapped per specifications and staged for warehouse movement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Operate PIT equipment per OSHA standards, including inspections and battery/propane tank changes.
2. Perform final quality inspections on products (packaging, labels, seals).
3. Operate stretch wrap machines within specifications.
4. Maintain the label printer, ensuring correct labels, date, time, and roll availability.
5. Keep staging areas organized, clean, and compliant throughout shifts.
6. Relieve other Material Handlers during breaks and meals.
7. Perform housekeeping and sanitation functions as required.
8. Complete all assigned tasks as directed by management.
9. Maintain a safe work environment and report hazards.
10. Follow safety policies, PPE requirements, and set safety examples.
11. Report quality or safety issues to supervisors.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or GED.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Adhere to safety, GMP, and PPE guidelines.
• Be team-oriented and receptive to supervision.
• Possess basic mechanical skills.
• Willing to learn new tasks and accept responsibility.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Operate forklift safely and proficiently.
• Differentiate product quality and troubleshoot issues.
• Operate calculator and perform basic addition.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Constant standing, walking, talking, hearing; occasional sitting; good vision including close, color, distance, depth, peripheral.
• Stand 90% of shift, lift up to 45 pounds.
