Job summary

Biomerics is seeking a Material Handler for the D Shift (8:00pm-8:00am) with a rotating 2/2/3 schedule in Mebane, NC. The role supports packing/inspecting activities, material flow, and equipment cleaning to ensure smooth production in a medical device manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have basic communication skills, ability to lift 50 pounds, and good manual dexterity. Prior forklift training or ability to obtain training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Good manual dexterity and ability to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with supervision staff.
• Assist Packer/Inspector with duties.
• Relieve Packer/Inspector for breaks/lunch.
• Clean auxiliary equipment during mold changes (grinder, dryer, hopper/loader, conveyor).
• Keep material supplied and identified to and from the warehouse.
• Remove finished product to staging area.
• Maintain housekeeping/safety.
• Check and clean vacuum hopper loader filter as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Shift Schedule

Education

• HSD or GED - Preferred but not required

Experience

• Previous experience as a material handler or service in a manufacturing setting - Preferred but not required

Training

• Instruction/Training in pertinent areas related to position
• Good Documentation Practices
• Good Manufacturing Practices
• Forklift Training or ability to obtain
