Job summary

CompX National in Mauldin, SC is hiring a Material Handler for first shift. You will unload incoming crates, move parts, and prepare items for shipping while using Syteline ERP to record transactions. The role requires basic math, 1–2 years in a warehouse, and the ability to lift 35 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of warehouse experience or similar environment.
• Basic math and reading skills are required.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with timely follow-through.
• Familiarity with ERP systems; ability to learn Syteline for shipping entries.
• Able to lift 35 pounds repetitively and maintain safety.
• Valid SC driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming crates with parts for metal fabrication department.
• Move parts to locations for warehouse and production.
• Pack and move finished goods to shipping department.
• Move jobs from bay and place in semi.
• Use the ERP system (Syteline) to enter and update transactions.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.
• Collaborate with customer service and warehouse staff to resolve shipping issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and equipment.
• Follow safety standards and procedures.
• Understand and practice Quality System documentation and forms.

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Position Responsibilities:

• Unload incoming crates with parts for metal fabrication department
• Move parts to appropriate locations for both warehouse and production
• Pack and move finished goods to shipping department
• Move jobs from bay and place in semi
• Use the ERP system (Syteline) to enter and update transactions.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
• Work with customer service and warehouse staff to resolve any shipping issues or urgent needs
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and equipment
• Follow all safety standards and procedures
• Understand and practice Quality System requirements and documentation (i.e., applicable inspection, verification, and disposition procedures, and/or instructions and forms required as part of the process)

Essential Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• At least 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or similar environment
• Basic math and reading skills
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Careful attention to detail and timely follow-through
• Familiarity with ERP systems, and the ability to learn and navigate Syteline using UPS, FedEx, DHL, and USPS shipping software
• Able to lift 35 pounds repetitively
• Must have a valid SC driver’s license
