Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc in Sumter, SC is seeking an Entry Level Material Handler for a 12-month contract on W2. The role is 1st shift, 8AM–8PM, 40 hours per week, working in a medical device manufacturing environment with forklifts and related equipment.

The position requires a high school diploma, 0–1 year warehousing experience, basic math and English literacy, and may include RF Scanner familiarity. Pass eye test & color test as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 year warehouse experience or related training.
• Knowledge of RF Scanner is helpful but not required.
• Obtains and/or maintains licenses / training as needed.
• Basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling).
• Effective communication skills understood by coworkers and supervisor.
• Able to read, write, and interpret English and perform basic math.
• General computer skills and metrics-driven work environment.

Responsibilities

• Move materials, parts, assemblies and finished goods using forklifts, conveyors, cranes and power trucks.
• May maintain records and follow SOPs and quality guidelines.
• Work under general to limited supervision.
• Operate within a defined SOP or process and apply basic techniques.

Job Description

• Uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies and finished products or goods within a plant, office or warehouse.
• May maintain records. Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures within one skill area / process / method.
• Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps.
• Works within clearly defined SOPs and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.
• Works under general to limited supervision.
