Freight Material Handler
Bring your unique skillsets in warehousing, customer service, and people skills to help drive company productivity. As a Freight Material Handler, you will work with a team to pick, pack, and load orders for overseas shipment and freight. Attention to detail is crucial to ensure the correct parts and quantities are picked, packed, and delivered to our customers. If you are self-driven, experienced in shipping, comfortable with numbers, and seeking a fast-paced role utilizing power industrial equipment, then this is the role for you. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate powered forklift trucks, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment.
• Use production paperwork to locate, pick, and pack materials in a warehouse environment.
• Maintain equipment in good operating condition, following industrial equipment guidelines and completing start-of-shift inspections.
• Perform housekeeping and 5S practices to keep the department clean, safe, and organized.
• Identify problems or potential safety hazards and recommend resolutions.
• Perform warehouse transactions.
• Focus on continuous improvement of material handling processes.
• Be available to work 10-hour shifts and overtime on weekends.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months to 2 years of related experience in Material Handling, Shipping & Receiving, Inventory, or Shipping Clerk roles.
• Demonstrated skills necessary to perform the duties of the position.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Previous experience with SAP, RF devices, and Warehouse Management systems is preferred.

REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Routinely bend and lift up to 40 pounds individually.
• Work in multiple positions during a shift.
• Stand for a 10-hour shift.

ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURES:

• Work near moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally exposed to hot conditions, non-toxic fumes, oil, grease, gasoline, dust, metal particles, and sharp-edged materials.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

• Wear safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and cut-resistant gloves.

Competitive base salary range: $29,100 - $45,760 annually. Salary ranges are subject to adjustment based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation includes base salary plus benefits, which encompass health insurance, 401(k), profit sharing, disability, life insurance, paid time off, and voluntary benefits.
