Dover Fueling Solutions in Livonia, MI is seeking a warehouse associate to support material handling, inventory, and shipping/receiving activities in a manufacturing setting.

You will operate forklifts, locate and move materials, and ensure timely delivery to workstations while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment. The role requires attention to detail, safety compliance, and teamwork for process improvements.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse role within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions, manuals, and other written correspondence
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and inventory management software
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure
  • Strong communication skills, delivering thoughts and ideas clearly both written and verbally
  • Experience operating powered industrial trucks (e.g. forklifts)

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate material handling equipment such as sit-down fork trucks; order pickers, and pallet jacks to move items between receiving, storage, and the production areas
  • Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders
  • Deliver materials to workstations as requested and remove finished goods or scrap from areas in a timely manner
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, ensuring aisles are clear and materials are stored in designated locations
  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages
  • Maintain daily maintenance checks of fork trucks including compliance with end of shift requirements i.e. 5S checklists, charging of equipment, etc.
  • Strictly adhere to all facility safety protocols, including wearing PPE and following safe lifting and equipment operation guidelines
  • Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and increase efficiency
  • Assist with other Shipping/Receiving/Packaging activities as needed
