Job summary

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and supplies within the printing facility. Your primary responsibility is to handle and organize various materials required for the printing process.

RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):

All lawful directives of your supervisor or a member of Company management.

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials such as paper, ink, envelopes, and other printing supplies. Safely and efficiently load and unload materials using equipment such as forklifts, or pallet jacks. Organize and store materials in designated locations within the facility
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are sufficient to support production schedules
  • Collaborate with production personnel to ensure materials are readily available for printing job
  • Retrieve and deliver materials to the appropriate production areas as required
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while handling materials and operating equipment
  • Identify and report any potential safety hazards or equipment malfunctions
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in material handling or warehouse operations, preferably in the printing industry
  • Familiarity with handling printing materials such as paper and envelopes
  • Knowledge of safe material handling practices and equipment operation
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Able to work Second Shift
