DC-Lancaster

The Material Handler may fulfill multiple roles in the Distribution Center environment to help fulfill the overall mission of processing Inbound and/or Outbound freight accurately, timely, and safely.

Major Activities

1. Performs various functions in a Distribution Center, including Receiving, Labeling, Putaway, Order Picking, Slotting, Replenishment, eComm order fulfillment, Hybrid throwing, Loading, and other specialized roles requiring additional training or experience (e.g., Inventory Control). May use manual and/or powered industrial equipment and RF guns.
2. Documents production logs accurately, including changes in assignments, downtime, meetings, etc., to ensure productivity records are correct.
3. Completes other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills

• Basic computer skills for relevant roles

Preferred Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Preferred Experience

• Prior use of manual and/or powered industrial equipment preferred
• Basic warehouse or Distribution Center knowledge recommended; success in a production environment is helpful

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting of 5 to 60 pounds
• Frequent pushing or pulling of materials and equipment
• Frequent standing and walking in the warehouse
• Reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting
• Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers

Work Environment

• Exposure to temperature variations, depending on external climate and proximity to dock doors
• Moderate noise level from conveyor and industrial equipment
• Occasional vibration when operating equipment
• Potential exposure to fumes and airborne particles

Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
