Johnstone Supply, North America’s leading wholesale distributor of HVACR equipment, parts, and supplies, has a great opportunity for a Material Handler II to join our team at our Lancaster distribution center.

We offer regular full-time status, a starting wage of $20.50 per hour, eligibility for quarterly incentive bonuses, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, LTD, 401(k) with up to 5% company match, 3 weeks of PTO within the first year, and a safety shoe allowance. We operate on a 1st shift, Monday – Friday schedule, with some weekend overtime opportunities.

Position Responsibilities

1. Operate basic power equipment (electric pallet, walkie rider, sit-down forklift, stand-up forklift) safely and efficiently to pick and process store orders daily.
2. Fill store orders by picking items according to section number, packing into cartons, stacking to minimize damage, scanning items, and completing paperwork.
3. Label cartons correctly and complete paperwork for hazardous materials shipments.
4. Prepare orders for shipment by palletizing, wrapping, loading into trucks, and placing packing lists appropriately.
5. Maintain accuracy and efficiency standards, following standard operating procedures.
6. Maintain a safe work environment by following safety rules, keeping the work area clean, and handling materials properly.

Position Requirements

1. High school diploma or GED; 1-3 months related experience/training or equivalent.
2. Basic math skills for measurement and calculations.
3. Ability to work safely and follow instructions.
4. Organizational and prioritization skills.
5. Attention to detail and teamwork skills.
6. Ability to complete routine paperwork.

Physical Requirements

Standing and walking on concrete for most of the day, reaching, climbing, stooping, crouching, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 70 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include distance, peripheral, and color vision.
