Material Handler 1

This position will primarily be responsible for providing support to Champion X located in Scott, LA. The position will require occasional weekends, call-outs (including nights), and holidays, while maintaining safe operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform shipping and/or receiving procedures during order fulfillment or inventory replenishment in a safe and efficient manner.
2. Load and unload containerized and bulk material from transport trucks, including sampling and obtaining required approval.
3. Participate in safety meetings, planning committees, TPM, and functions.
4. Stage drums and totes for loading and shipping.
5. Apply spill containment and cleanup methods when required.
6. Comply with all SH&E policies and procedures.
7. Ensure that all vendors/contractors adhere to plant safety policies.
8. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
9. Perform daily forklift inspections.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• SAP experience (preferred)
• Forklift operation certification
• Ability to operate a computer device, handheld or forklift-mounted
• Ability to wear a respirator and fall protection equipment if necessary
• Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English

Physical Requirements:

Candidates must be able to perform physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and feeling, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP experience
• Ability to work effectively in a team
