A leading company in Lafayette is seeking material handlers to operate heavy machinery and manage parts and materials. Responsibilities include ensuring safety and quality in operations, maintaining inventory, and assisting in various departments. Training is provided for all necessary equipment. Position Description:
Material handlers work with various components depending on the location. Responsibilities include operating heavy machinery such as forklifts, tuggers, tractors, hoists, and cranes. Training is provided for operating these vehicles, but employees are not exclusively operating vehicles. Material handlers also check, store, disburse, or fill orders for parts, materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.

Tools & Equipment:
Depending on the department and location, you may work with tools and equipment such as PPE, forklifts, tuggers, tractors, hoists, load securement devices, SAP program, and cranes. Training is provided to ensure confidence and competence.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Training, Skills, and Experience:
Experience and education are advantageous but not required, as training is provided. The role involves working in environments with loud noise, welding, paint fumes, and grinding dust.

Physical Demands:
