Job Title: Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Job Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

Job Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for the unloading, routing, and processing of incoming drums, totes, tanks, containerized and/or palletized material from branch locations. This role includes various hub functions such as material transfers, waste check-in, AFS refurbishment, drum cleaning, filling or refilling, and loading outbound trailers to branch locations, designated receiving facilities, or customer locations.

Reporting Relationship:

Reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and/or the Hub Manager, as applicable.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Work safely in all aspects and functions of the job.
2. Promote safety and efficiency among all hub employees and activities.
3. Follow directions from the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Hub Manager.
4. Unload containerized material from inbound trailers following company rules and regulations.
5. Verify inbound containers and labels against paperwork and DOT designations (waste checking).
6. Direct inbound containers to appropriate staging areas based on verification.
7. Clean and refurbish inbound AFS machines.
8. Clean and refill inbound reuse product containers with clean solvent for outbound shipment.
9. Prepare materials and load outbound trailers for branch replenishment.
10. Load outbound waste trailers for third-party disposal.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education, Certificates, Licenses, and Memberships:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record (required for forklift operation and/or motorized equipment)

Fisher Online Training Courses:

• D.O.T. Safety – Meets Requirements of 49 CFR 172.704 (Every 3 Years)
• Fire Safety (Annual)
• General Safety
• Hazard Communication (Annual)
• PPE (Annual)
• RCRA (Annual)

Offline Training Courses:

• Emergency & Evacuation Training (Hubs) (Annual)
• SPCC Training (Annual)

Additional Online Training Courses (As Required):

• Forklift
• Respirator Certification (Annual)
• Respirator Fit Testing
• Yard Spotting (Every 3 Years) (If Applicable)

Additional Offline Training Courses (As Required):

• Railcar Training (Annual) (If Applicable)
