Job summary

Vallourec in Houston, TX is seeking a Material Handler to support our supply chain operations, ensuring materials are received, stored, tracked, and distributed with inventory accuracy and strong product traceability.

You will maintain material traceability, load and unload trucks, and perform basic troubleshooting in the pipe yard while following all safety procedures. This role emphasizes teamwork, quality, and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to understand and execute written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to successfully complete applicable testing requirements.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and push or pull up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain material traceability using stencils, identifiers, and heat numbers.
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Perform basic troubleshooting related to pipe yard operations.
• Review and process operational documents, including bills of lading and inventory reports.
• Follow all safety procedures, policies, and regulations.
• Apply inventory management controls and quality procedures.
• Complete daily equipment inspection checklists before each shift.
• Report unsafe conditions and near misses promptly.
• Provide professional service and communication with customers and visitors.
• Maintain familiarity with yard layout and material locations.

Your Day-to-Day Impact

You'll play a vital role in our Supply Chain team by:

• Maintaining material traceability through proper use of stencils, unique identifiers, and heat numbers.
• Loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently.
• Performing basic troubleshooting related to pipe yard operations.
• Reviewing and processing operational documentation, including bills of lading and inventory reports.
• Following all company safety procedures, policies, and regulations.
• Applying inventory management controls and quality procedures.
• Completing daily equipment inspection checklists before each shift.
• Reporting unsafe conditions and near misses to management promptly.
• Providing professional service and communication with customers and visitors.
• Maintaining familiarity with yard layout and material locations.
