Sealed Air Corporation is seeking a dedicated forklift operator for our Illinois facility to support shipping, receiving, and material movement during night shifts. You will operate a forklift, inspect deliveries, and coordinate with machine operators to ensure smooth production flow.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced warehouse, with opportunities to develop skills in packaging operations and inventory control while contributing to a resilient supply chain.

Competenze

• 1–3 years forklift experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to use a tape measure and apply basic math.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork.

Mansioni

Job Description

Pay: $20.50
Shift: Night

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operates forklift in accordance with company policy and completes daily safetyinspections.
• Knowledge of shipping/receiving/inventory control principles and practices.
• Interprets and uses bills of ladings/orders.
• Loads and unloads delivery trucks.
• Inspects incoming deliveries for accuracy and any visible damage.
• Supports all manufacturing operations with material movement throughout the plant.
• Communicates and coordinates activities with machine operators and supervisors.
• Supplies required materials to work centers.
• Stages empty pallets for foam extrusion.
• Removes finished goods from work centers.
• Removes waste, scrap, and paper bales from work centers; operates trash compactor asneeded.
• Bands and wraps finished goods materials.
• Services packaging bander and wrapper equipment by replacing band material and film.
• Services grinding operations by replacing containers as they fill, sweeping the area, andemptying the collection socks as needed.
• Completes documentation as required.
• Completes other duties as assigned by plant leadership, production leads, or shift leads.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of forklift experience.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to solve problems and apply critical thinking to processes and equipment.
• Ability to use a tape measure.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
• High awareness of safety for yourself and others.
• Able to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team or individually.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred but not required.
• College-level courses or trade school preferred, but not necessary.
• Ability to operate hoists, pallet jacks, and other related equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to enter, exit, and drive a forklift without assistance.
• Pushing, pulling, lifting at least 40lbs.
• Eye/hand coordination.
