Job summary

Planar in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Material Handler to support warehouse operations, ensuring smooth inventory flow and timely shipping of electronic display components and finished products. You will receive, unload, inspect shipments, verify against packing slips or purchase orders, and organize materials for efficient picking and packing.

Familiarity with D365, Salesforce, and basic Microsoft Office is a plus; forklift certification is desired.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Warehouse or material handling experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Email).
  • Experience with inventory management systems and part numbers.
  • Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
  • Verify shipments against packing slips or purchase orders.
  • Sort, organize, and store materials in designated locations.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to specifications.
  • May use D365, Salesforce and other internal systems to track status details of inbound and/or outbound shipments.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
  • Assist with returns, restocking, and cycle counting as needed.
  • Assist in periodic full physical inventory counts.
  • May operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
  • Follow safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • May cross train between all Hillsboro warehouse sites

We are seeking a Material Handler to support our warehouse operations. This role is essential for ensuring smooth inventory flow, accurate order fulfillment, and timely shipping of electronic display components and finished products.

In this role you will:

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous warehouse or material handling experience a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Working knowledge of basic Microsoft Office software such as Excel, Word, E-mail
  • Knowledge & experience using part numbers, inventory management computer system
  • Experience using a hand truck and pallet jack equipment
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) desired
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid OR driver license in order to drive to other Planar buildings as necessary
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in English, including reading and understanding work instructions, safety rules, and verbal directions
