Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a warehouse associate to perform basic warehousing duties including order fulfillment and packing from multiple distribution locations. You will work with manual documents or handheld scanners to ensure accurate inventory control and fast, safe processing of orders.

Full-time role with training provided, focusing on safety, accuracy and productivity. Ability to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Pay Class and Pay

• Pay Class: Full Time


• Pay: $15.00 - $15.87 per hour

Essential Responsibilities

• Comprehensive understanding of picking and stocking documents, labels, and hand held computerized scanners, personal computers and printing devices.


• Properly identify task list for picking assignment.


• Pack, store and redistribute items in an orderly fashion.


• Picking and stocking of merchandise from pre-defined designated storage bin locations.


• Ability to meet or exceed established production goals.


• Use best practices and inventory controls to prevent inventory shrinkage.


• Assist with training new hires and other duties as assigned by supervisor.


• Ability to communicate and elevate with peers and principles.


• Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of all equipment, workstations and overall facility.


• Practice and comply with all regulations promoting a safe and healthy work place environment

Education

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred

Experience & Background

• One (1) to three (3) years of related manufacturing experience preferred


• Ability to operate personal computer or computerized scanning and printing devices

Language Skills

Ability to read English in order to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills

General mathematical skills to include basic adding, subtracting, multiplication and division

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to think logically in following procedures and instructions
